HUNtingdon big treesearch
Why are we doing this?
A: Because we do really love trees.
B: To raise awareness for the oldest and biggest trees in Huntingdon. We want everyone to be able to appreciate these trees like we do because they are not only an important part of the local environment but have also seen a lot of Huntingdon history (unfortunately they cannot tell us this history but it's fun to imagine what they might say).
For both these reasons, these trees need to be protected.

How do we measure the trees?
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After we record the species, location, spread, height, and circumference we put the data in a mobile application called iNaturalist. This allows us to map the trees and keep all our data in one spot. With this data we publish things such as this webpage or monthly articles in the Huntingdon Daily to let everyone know what new trees we have found.
